Shopping-Bargains.com a Finalist for the LinkShare Golden Link ‘Advertiser’s Choice’ Award
This week Shopping-Bargains.com received industry recognition as a finalist for the LinkShare Advertiser’s Choice Award. This prestigious award, part of the LinkShare Golden Link Awards, is given annually to the online publisher with the most votes from the LinkShare advertiser community.
This year there are 14 award categories. Each category has 3 finalists. Winners will be announced at the 2008 LinkShare Golden Link Awards on Monday, June 23 in New York City. Other finalists for these awards include Office Depot, Walmart.com, Petite Sophisticate, Avon, McAfee, Chase, Dell Canada, and American Express to name a few.
As the founder and president of Shopping-Bargains.com I am very honored that we have been recognized in this way. I am thankful for the great relationships we have with hundreds of online retailers and am humbled that so many voted for us to receive this award.
Product Search Engine Matched with Coupons is Live
Our much anticipated Product Search Engine that matches individual products to specific store coupons and free shipping specials is now live at Shopping-Bargains.com. This new, price comparison-like tool gives shoppers the tools they need to save even more money online when they search for specific products.
Our Product Search Engine is powered by a database that currently contains nearly 700 store catalogs and 20 million products. And if you don’t think this is enough (we don’t!), we’re regularly adding additional stores and products to this database as well.
So how do you use our new Product Search Engine? Just look in the header on any main page on Shopping-Bargains.com and you’ll see the product search box (see example above on right). Enter your product keyword, title, model number, etc. and click “Go” (or hit return). If a product match exists, the results will contain (when available) product images, prices, short descriptions and store information including whether a coupon code or shipping special may be available.
New Free Gifts, Trials & Bonus Section
Today we launched our new Free Gifts, Free Trials and Bonus Promotions section which aggregates all related coupon codes and deals that fit within this category. This section, like our other coupon sorting tools for rebates, outlet sections and clearance deals, features the same sort options including alphabetically (by store name), by expiration date, by click popularity and by freshness with the most recent posts on top. The default sort mode is by popularity.
Given that free gifts with purchase and free trials are very popular with Internet shoppers, we expect this new section to be well-used and appreciated. We’re also glad to more effectively promote the hundreds of free gift and bonus deals we have published along these lines.
Preview of Our New Coupon Sorting Features
We’ve been working on some new site features and I wanted share a quick preview of some things to come. We’re working on some new coupon and deal sorting tools so you can browse for deals and coupons you are most interested in.
For example, let’s say you like rebates or outlet sections and want to find incredible savings along those lines. You can now browse our new online outlet section with links to dozens of outlet store savings at popular online stores. Or you can do the same on our new rebate and clearance sorts.

The new rebate feature provides links to mail-in, cash back and manufacturers rebate deals and the clearance feature links to online clearance sales, store clearance sections and special clearance coupons and deals.
For each of these new sections you can sort the deals alphabetically, by expiration date, by popularity and by freshness with the most recently added on top.
We’ve got a few more options along these lines planned so give these tools a try and let me know what you think and what you’d like to see.
New Men’s Grooming Section
With the rapid growth in popularity of men’s grooming and skincare products, Shopping-Bargains.com created a new Men’s Grooming sub-department under our Health & Beauty section. This section currently features ZIRH, Grooming Lounge, and Bosley with more companies coming soon.
ZIRH has been featured on Shopping-Bargains.com since 2004 and provides our shoppers with a variety of coupon codes and promotions including some exclusive coupon codes. They write:

New Deal Sort Feature on the Homepage
Earlier this week we added some new features on the Shopping-Bargains.com homepage to make it easier for shoppers to view and sort all our featured coupon codes and deals. Out of the thousands of deals available at Shopping-Bargains.com, featured deals are ones that have been hand-selected by the editors of Shopping-Bargains.com based on their popularity and/or bargain value. At any given time there are about 100 featured deals. The new features make it easier to review them all, start shopping or quickly dig deeper for more information.
By default, featured deals are ranked by popularity (see example above). In addition to popularity, shoppers can sort these deals alphabetically, by time added (to show the newest ones on top), and by expiration date (to show the ones expiring soonest on top).
