There’s a great set of Web 2 Icons by Fast Icon available for download at IconArchive. This set of 23 different icons is very well done and is essentially free (via “linkware” — commercial usage allowed). It was created to be used with popular social media networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Digg to name a few. The icons are available in mutiple sizes and in file formats for Windows, Mac and Linux either individually or for download as a complete set.

Looks like the author somewhat changed the licensing requirements for these icons. They are now only free for personal desktop use. If used commercially, the user must maintain a link to Icons by: FastIcon.com or pay a fee (currently $24).
